Our story

Kamadhenu Kitchens began at a single home stove, with a steel dabba of rasam powder that relatives kept asking us to make “just one more batch” of. So we did — and then a few more.

We still roast every spice by hand and grind in small batches, the week you order. Kamadhenu is the sacred cow of plenty in our homes — a quiet promise that what comes from this kitchen will nourish yours. No preservatives, no colours, no fillers. Just what you'd use yourself.

A spoon of the right powder is most of the work. Here's how regulars use ours.

5-minute rasam
Rasam Powder
  1. Simmer tamarind extract with tomato, turmeric and salt.
  2. Stir in 1–1½ tsp rasam powder; simmer 3–4 min.
  3. Add cooked toor dal; finish with a ghee–mustard–curry-leaf tempering.
Everyday sambar
Sambar Powder
  1. Cook toor dal with your vegetables until soft.
  2. Add tamarind water and 1½–2 tsp sambar powder; boil 5 min.
  3. Temper with mustard, hing and curry leaves.
Podi idli in 2 min
Chutney Powder
  1. Take 2 tbsp chutney podi in a bowl.
  2. Mix in a spoon of warm sesame oil or ghee.
  3. Serve alongside hot idlis or smear on a dosa.

How fresh is it, really? +

We grind in small batches each week and pack to order, so most packs reach you within days of being made. Every pack is dated.

How should I store the powders? +

Keep them in an airtight container away from heat and moisture. Use a dry spoon. They stay at their best for about 4–6 months — though they rarely last that long.

Can I get it less spicy, or without garlic? +

Yes. Tell us on WhatsApp and we'll adjust the chilli, or leave garlic out of the chutney podi. That's the upside of a home kitchen.

How do I pay, and where do you deliver? +

UPI or cash on delivery. We ship across India; share your pincode on WhatsApp and we'll confirm delivery time and charges.

Do you do bulk or gifting orders? +

Absolutely — sampler packs, festival gift boxes and bulk for events. Message us and we'll put something together.
